Writing For Film, TV & Games

This course starts the third term off where the second term ended. Students work in a very practical environment producing far more complex scoring assignments. The instructor works carefully with students as they work on theme and background music for film & games as well as advertising jingles for both TV & radio ads. Students will also explore writing shorter pieces for sound bits and cellular phone rings.

Learning Outcomes:
- Produce a score and background music for and excerpt from a major film or game
- Produce a series of jingles for TV and radio ads
- Produce a series of short music segments for cellular phone rings
- Create a written strategy & rationale for your work

Registration in this course is restricted to students admitted to Certificate in Digital Music Production.
