Concurrent Studies
BC secondary students entering or currently in Grade 12 who have demonstrated academic excellence may apply for limited admission to enroll in university transfer or open career courses while attending secondary school.
- Enrolment will be restricted to one course (up to four credits) per semester.
- Admission will be approved on a semester by semester basis until students have met Grade 12 graduation requirements or have reached the age of 19.
Submit an appeal
To be considered for concurrent studies, students must:
Submit an application for admission to the Diploma in General Education (Arts, Science, or Social Science) through EducationPlannerBC
- Upload the following documents to your EducationPlannerBC application, or email to admissions [at] rstdev3.zyns.com (admissions[at]langara[dot]ca):
- A completed Appeal for Conditional Admission or Concurrent Studies form
- A letter of support from a school counsellor, principal, or vice principal;
- Submit an official interim transcript showing completion of Grade 11 and current Grade 12 courses. All BC High School transcripts must be sent through the Student Transcripts Service (STS).
Deadline
Applications must be sent at least 10 business days before the first day of classes of the semester you want to attend.
