Description
This course continues the development of students' 3D work from 3D
Modelling – Level 1 and Employment Skills – Level 1 (ZBrush). Using characters previously modeled, students
learn new skills to rig a full basic control rig for your elf model including full facial expressions. Skills being
focused on are skeleton construction review, control object construction, using constraints, binding the
geometry to the skeleton using skinning, and the creation of blend shapes to enhance the rig. Using designs
developed in previous courses, students further develop their modelling and rigging skills, bringing their own
robot designs to life and preparing them for animation. The focus of the course is on preparing current projects
for use in their graduation demo reels and portfolios in the quarters ahead, while encouraging them to further
develop their personal and professional time-management and project planning skills.
Registration in this course is restricted to students admitted to the Diploma in 3D Animation for Game, Film and Visual Effects, and the Diploma in 3D Technologies for Film & Games.
