Dr. David Wright is Interim Dean of Langara College’s Faculty of Management, bringing expertise in English literature, cultural studies, and creative writing to his leadership. He combines a strong academic foundation with proven skills in academic administration, organizational strategy, and program oversight, enabling him to work closely with the Faculty’s leadership team to meet both educational and industry needs. His approach blends scholarly insight with curriculum innovation, ensuring programs are rigorous, relevant, and aligned with emerging trends in business and management education.

David has taught at several Canadian post-secondary institutions, including Douglas College, where he was recognized for his engaging teaching style, constructive feedback, and ability to inspire students. In addition to his academic strengths, he has a demonstrated ability to lead diverse teams, foster collaboration, and manage complex projects from concept to execution. His leadership at Langara focuses on preparing graduates for dynamic careers by integrating critical thinking, communication, and practical business skills into all programs.

David holds a PhD in English Literature and Cultural Studies from McGill University and an MA and BA in English and Creative Writing from Concordia University.
