David Anderson
Dr. David Anderson is Dean of Langara College’s Faculty of Science, bringing a strong record of innovation in interdisciplinary education and graduate program development. His leadership focuses on fostering academic excellence, advancing equity and inclusion, and building collaborative research and learning environments.
Before joining Langara in 2024, David served as Associate Dean of Transdisciplinary Scholarship at the University of Calgary, where he led the creation of the Precision Health Program and revitalized the Bioinformatics program. He has worked closely with Indigenous Engagement teams on policy and curriculum design, embedding diverse perspectives into science education.
David holds a PhD in Evolutionary Biology from the University of Oregon, an MSc in Evolutionary Biology from McMaster University, and a BA&Sc in Biology and Astronomy from McMaster University.
