Darren Bernaerdt is Dean of Langara College’s Faculty of Arts and a proud Langara alumnus. With more than two decades at the College, Darren has demonstrated a commitment to fostering creativity, academic excellence, and hands-on learning experiences for students.

He has served as Chair of Education Council, Division Chair for Creative Arts & Industries, and taught in both the Publishing and Photography programs. Darren is deeply engaged in the Langara community and established the Bernaerdt Family Scholarship in Professional Photography to support emerging creative professionals.

Darren holds a Master of Arts in Leadership from Royal Roads University and a Photography Technician Diploma from Langara College.
