Big questions. Bold ideas. For the real world.

Langara’s President’s Lecture Series will be a space where big ideas meet real-world relevance – a signature platform for thought leadership, dialogue, and public engagement.

Three times a year, the College will host a TED-style keynote talk by a leading thinker on one of the most pressing challenges facing our communities. Topics will range from the future of artificial intelligence, to climate justice, to the role of education in an era of misinformation and more. These events will be open to students, employees, alumni, and the wider public.

Our goal: to position Langara as a place where learning doesn’t stop at the classroom door – it’s part of the broader civic conversation.

Imagine a talk titled “How Will AI Impact the Way We Work?” delivered to a full audience of students, educators, and industry leaders. Or a climate expert unpacking policy and hope in a way that inspires action. This is the level of visibility and impact we’re building.

With your support, we will:

  • Launch the Langara President’s Lecture Series as a free public event each semester.
  • Attract high-profile speakers who challenge, inform, and inspire.
  • Create access for students to meet and engage with civic and academic leaders.
  • Offer livestreams, recordings, and classroom integration for wider reach.

Naming opportunities are available for sponsors who want to align with smart, solutions-focused dialogue.
